The growth of smartphones in the global market moves very fast, even the numbers will rise on a few more years to come
SMARTPHONES - According to the survey conducted by Research Institutions and Consultancy Coda predicts that smartphone sales worldwide will reach 2.5 billion from 2010 to 2015.This result also confirms that the previous survey on smartphone sales will grow by 24 percent by the end of this period.
According to market research firm GfK Asia mentions, one of 10 mobile phones purchased by consumers in Southeast Asia and East Asia in January to March 2010 is smartphone.
Within one year, combined sales of smartphones at two regions are soaring double, from 16.2 percent in the first quarter of 2009 to more than 36.6 percent in the same period next year.
Reports of GfK Asia indicate that the number of smartphone purchased by consumers at East Asia and Southeast Asia in the last quarter rose respectively 68.6 percent and 31.4 percent compared with the previous quarter.
